We love having a family membership to the Dallas Arboretum! Although it is quite a drive from our house, it has always been worth it! They also recently opened the Rory Myers Children's Adventure Garden that is just a perfect outdoor activity for the kids! We recently went back in a winter month (January) for the first time. We usually go in the fall to see the Pumpkin Village and in the spring to see the tulips, so we were curious to see what the Arboretum looked like in the winter. During the Christmas holidays, they have nice poinsettia and angel displays (which we missed), but when we went in January, it was pretty much dead. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a quiet, peaceful walk and wagon ride through the grounds, and the kids had tons of fun playing in the frog fountains!

Beautiful pics! I am SO jealous that you guys are able to enjoy so many outdoor activities all winter long...this snow and cold thing is getting REALLY old. We're SO ready to go to the park again and enjoy some fresh air! Maybe we should move to Texas :)
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely move to Texas! This is definitely our outdoor weather season, and we have to take advantage. In about a month or so, we'll be experiencing 105 degrees plus weather for the next four months. Then, we'll be indoors and thinking about you guys and wishing we were living there with y'all! :) We definitely dream about California all summer long!
