Hello New!

On August 8th we moved into our new home on Camino Lago in Irving, Texas.  It was love at first site!  Krish absolutely loved this house, and Neil and I also knew it was the perfect fit for our family.  We were ready for a more modern look in a house, and the street, community and location are just perfect. We live right next to the highways like we wanted, and our street is full of mommies with little toddlers the same age as Krish!  In fact, they also have their second little babies around the same age as our soon-to-arrive little one.  We couldn't have picked a better community to live in.  All the moms on the street get together regularly, and we are even organizing a Halloween block party in October!  I am so excited to be part of a neighborhood community now!

In addition to our new neighborhood, we are very happy to be around another set of our parents.  We also have family and friends here that we have missed and are glad to be able to catch up with them and spend more time with them once again.

Good-bye Old Home...

August has possibly been the most hectic month for our family this year.  It started out with packing up our old home on Bratton Street and saying goodbye to Houston/Sugar Land family and friends.  Saying good-bye to Mom, Dad, and Tricia was the hardest thing for me to do...we miss them like crazy!

Our Bratton Street home is where Krish spent a year of his toddlerhood and developed a unique, independent toddler personality.  He began conversing more after his second birthday and in early June he started forming phrases and sentences and speaking in 3rd person.  His favorite line was "Krishy busy".  He always refers to himself as "Krishy".  By early July he started speaking in 1st person saying "I reading Mama" and "I busy".  His style of communicating is so sweet and cute!  I love hearing him talk and converse with me.  By this time, late August, he understands so much!  He asks permission to do things by saying, "I go upstairs, Mama?", and I respond by saying "Yes, you can go upstairs, Krish."  He always looks for confirmation and verification of what he's saying.  In fact, it upsets him if you don't repeat what he said so he knows you understood!

He's also still a parrot and copies everything he hears.  My favorite phrase of his is when he says "I so impressed!" when he knows he did something well because that is what Neil and I say to him when he does! :)
