Mother's Day!

This Mother's Day, we attended the DFW Hindu Temple's Mother's Day Walkathon with Ba and Dada.  It is an annual tradition, and we have attended every year we have lived in Dallas.  Krish and Arjun especially had a blast taking a family walk together around the nature trails at the park near our house.  Krish enjoyed racing with Ba and jumping in the bounce house they had there as well!  He also wished all the moms a Happy Mother's Day through the microphone and expressed how much he loves his Mama!  He is such a loving, adorable sweetheart, and both my boys always make me feel like the luckiest, most loved Mommy in the the whole world!

After the walk, we all celebrated with a wonderful Mother's Day lunch together at the Blue Goose Mexican Restaurant.  And later that afternoon, Daddy and my boys gave me a very special Mother's Day surprise!  They took me to the Las Colinas Flower Clock to take some beautiful mother-son pictures together to capture where we live currently and where we are in our lives on this Mother's Day.  It was all so thoughtful and sweet that I'll never forget this Mother's Day!  I truly am the luckiest Mommy in the whole world!  Thank you so much to my three boys!  I love you all very much and thank God everyday for bringing you into my life!

Spring Time Fun at the Arboretum!

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is highly known for two things: its fall pumpkin village and spring time tulips.  So since we have membership, we had to go see the spring tulips back in April!  The Arboretum was absolutely gorgeous with all the colorful tulips growing everywhere.  By the time we were able to make it, we definitely caught the end of the tulip season.  However, we were lucky enough to snap some shots where they were still abundant.

Unfortunately Arjun was asleep in his stroller the whole time we were there, but Krish definitely enjoyed himself, and I think he remembered the Arboretum from the last time we were there in the fall. He had a blast running through the fields, balancing on the shallow ledges surrounding arrangements,  and seeing all the pretty plants and flowers growing everywhere in the beautiful spring weather.

We are definitely looking forward to our next visit this summer to see the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Flower Village!

Texas Bluebonnets and Indian Paintbrushes!

This spring, we took advantage of the beautiful Texas bluebonnets and other spring time flowers by taking some family  photos in them!  Krish loved seeing the flowers and learning about them.  Though we took the pictures over a month ago, he still talks about the day and remembers the names bluebonnets and Indian paintbrushes!  His memory is so astonishing!

It is a popular Texas tradition to take pictures, especially of your children, in the fields of our state flower, and I couldn't wait to take Krish and Arjun in them this year!  Thank you so much to Neil for ensuring we could go for my 30th birthday!

Oppan Gangam Style!

Krish loves dancing, and apparently, so does Arjun!  After watching Keshav's Gangam Style video, both boys were inspired to show off their dance moves in front of the camera!  Tricia Masi, Atul Masa, and Trisha get ready, because these two boys are ready to dance the night away at your weddings!

Peek-a-Boo Arjun!

Arjun is so interactive now and so much fun to play with for all the members of our family!  Here is a video from a couple of weeks ago of Krish, Daddy and Mama enjoying some fun peek-a-boo and play time with Arjun!  I honestly think Krish Bhai loves playing with his baby brother most of all.  He is such a proud big brother!  Watching the two of them interact melts my heart every time! They are both just the sweetest boys!  Daddy and I truly are the luckiest and happiest parents ever!

Thank You Nana & Nani for the Awesome Wagon!

For Krish's 3rd birthday this year, Nana, Nani, and the whole family got Krish a really neat Radio Flyer Wagon with all the works!  It has two seats and a canopy you can install for shade in the summer sun.  Krish absolutely loves it, and Nana & Nani wanted to make sure to give it to him in time so that he and Arjun could ride around in it together!  Mama and Daddy love taking them for strolls around the block now that Arjun can sit up better.  He currently sits in his booster/high chair that we have placed inside the wagon.  They both had such a great time riding in it yesterday! Now, we can't wait to take them to the Zoo and Arboretum in there!

Since Arjun just turned 6 months old, we started him on solid foods yesterday!  He started rice cereal/oatmeal two weeks ago, but this was his first time eating spinach! Today, Ba came to play with Arjun and Krish and fed Arjun his spinach meal for the day.  She did a very good job since Arjun finished his entire serving!

Arjun Blowing Raspberries in his Exersaucer!

One of Arjun's favorite things to do while playing these days is blowing raspberries.  He's been doing it for a couple months now, and it is so cute!  Here is one of the videos we have catching him in the act!

Happy 1/2 Birthday to our Sweet Baby Boy!

Arjun just turned 6 months old this past Saturday, May 18th!  I can't believe how fast time has flown by with him!  He is and has been such a tremendous joy at home that I don't know where the time has gone since he was born.  He has the most amazing, contagious and beautiful smile that I have ever seen!  I have honestly never had a bad day since his birth.  How can you?  If you just look over at his smiling face, you forget all about your worries!  He and Krish have been the best gifts from God that we could ever imagine.  We are truly so blessed!  I thank God every night for bringing these two sweet, loving boys into our lives.  I don't know where our lives would be without them.

We had amazing footage of Arjun (on his 1/2 birthday) giggling away while Krish Bhai was shooting baskets with Daddy that we wanted to share.  Unfortunately, Krish accidentally deleted the video while from my phone before I got a chance to upload it.  We were pretty bummed, but we will try to recapture the moment one of these days.  For now, we have a post-basketball picture of Daddy and his boys!

In an idea inspired by the Mad Hatter and the Munshis, we celebrated Arjun's 1/2 birthday with a 1/2 birthday cake!  Krish Bhai loved singing Happy Birthday to his baby brother and eating his yummy cake!

At his 6 month well visit, we learned that Arjun weighs 15 lbs. 14 oz. and is 26.5 inches tall!  He is now rolling over from his back to his belly and from his belly to his back.  He balances on his hands and knees when you put him down on tummy time, pushes up on his hands, holds his head up steady, grabs his toys and switches them from hand to hand, sits up fairly well, blows raspberries, focuses on you when you talk to him and responds to his name!
