Pumpkin Decorating at Keeley's House!

One of our last Fall/Halloween play dates for October was to decorate our little pumpkins for Halloween.  We got together at Keeley's house, and all the tots had a wonderful time playing and decorating their pumpkins!  Krish painted his, glued googley eyes on, and embellished it with stickers. It is so much fun watching them get creative with all these crafts and--as an arts and crafts lover myself--being a part of crafting with them!

Krish loved his little pie pumpkin creation so much!  He named him "Pumpkin Bumpkin" and took a nap with him after our play date!  He also couldn't wait to show him to Daddy, as he does with all his crafts, when he got home!  Daddy was so proud of him as usual!  It really melts my heart to see him get so involved with arts and crafts! :)

Hall's Pumpkin Patch!

My adorable little Scarecrow!

Last Monday, we had a special play date with our play group at Hall's Pumpkin Patch in Grapevine.  It was special because it occurred in the early evening so all the Daddies could join in as well!  Krish was so happy to bring Daddy along on one of our play dates so that we could enjoy as a family, and Mommy was happy to have him meet and mingle with all the other Daddies too.

Krish had an amazing time at this pumpkin patch sitting on and riding all the tractors and playing on the fast slide-fort!  He sat on all kinds of tractors, including humongous, currently operational ones, old, authentic ones, and toy tractors for the tots to ride around in like little trikes.  He really loves all transportation vehicles so much right now!

He just loved the "fast slide"! :)

State Fair of Texas...finally!

This past Sunday was the last day of the Texas State Fair, and luckily, we made it out there just in time!  Ever since I have lived in Dallas, since 2007, I have been wanting to visit the State Fair, but we never made it out!  This time, five years later, we finally got to experience this grand, Texas tradition, and it definitely satisfied my State Fair curiosity!  It was at the perfect time too, since Krish is at an age where he would really enjoy it.

Well, he definitely enjoyed it!  Krish and Daddy tested out their pitching arms to see how fast they can pitch a baseball.  Krish climbed in a giant tractor, milked a cow, fed the animals at the petting zoo, and rode on some fun fair rides including a race car, motorcycle, monster truck, and Dumbo!  Daddy and Krish also played basketball together and won an Angry Birds stuffed animal that Krish now goes to sleep with!  He loves Angry Birds!  The main thing Mommy wanted to do that she was curious about was try some fried fair food...and she got to do just that!  Fried oreos with ice cream!  It was not the healthiest thing to have during pregnancy, but it was definitely yummy and satisfied a pregnancy craving! :)

Krish was pretty fascinated with the tall giraffe!

He loved "driving" the race car, and it certainly went fast!

Black Bat Play Date!

Continuing with our Halloween-themed play dates for the month of October, last week we had a Black Bat play date!  We watched a story about a bat named Stellaluna off a projector and then made a cute bat craft out of egg cartons!  It was so cute to see all our tots sitting in a row in front of the projected video; it felt like they were all in school already.  Along with our story and craft, all the moms of course brought some festive bat-themed snacks for everyone to enjoy.  Krish and I had fun making "bat brownies" together that morning! :)

Craft time!

Didn't he do an awesome paint job??

Happy Birthday Ba!

This past Saturday was Ba's birthday, and we got to celebrate at home after the auspicious occasion of a Satyanarayan Katha.  Krish was very excited to celebrate Ba's birthday with her and couldn't wait to give her the gift he made, a "hand-painted" poem for her and Dada, at his Blastball game first thing in the morning!  He also picked out a cookie cake for her that had daisies on it and, of course, he couldn't wait to sing Happy Birthday to her and help blow out the candles, cut the cake and eat it too!  He absolutely loves celebrating birthdays and was very excited to be able to celebrate Ba's birthday with her!
