On Monday, we went to Melrose (another town in Boston) to visit Angeli Masi and Harsh Masa (who was at work at the time) since they just moved out there after their wedding back in March! The boys had a great time seeing Angeli Masi again, and she took us to downtown Melrose where we picked out some yummy popular pastries, including Boston Cream Pie, from a local bakery. Thank you to Angeli Masi for showing us such a good time in her new town! We can't wait to see them again, maybe in Dallas or Houston next!
On Tuesday, we visited one of Keshav and Vidya's favorite places, Stone Zoo! The kids had a wonderful time walking through the zoo together and meeting all the different animals! They also enjoyed playing on the newly renovated playground and viewing the beautiful Christmas lights display.

On Wednesday, a snow storm was brewing so we visited the Boston Children's Museum, and the kids absolutely loved that place! I can see why it was so highly recommended by everyone. It was amazing! The kids particularly enjoyed the bubble room, the golf ball pipes and mazes room, the water tables, and Arjun's all-time favorite, the gigantic train table!

On our last day in Boston, it snowed! In addition to all the fun activities that were planned, we actually got an experience in east coast snow as well! The kids had a wonderful, but cold, time playing in the snow, sledding around the front yard, and making their own snowman named Olaf Cha Cha! Keshav and Krish definitely lasted longer in the snow than Vidya and Arjun, but they all had a great time!

We also got to celebrate Daddy's birthday with our Boston cousins and yummy cannolis! The kids had so much fun together, and we are so thankful to the Mushi family for being such gracious hosts and for this trip. We can't wait to get together with them again!
This past Thanksgiving week, we were very excited to travel to Boston to spend time with our cousins, the Munshis! The kids have never been to Boston before, and we really wanted to visit Vivek Kaka, Krishna Kaki, Keshavbhai and Vidya during their time in their town of Chelmsford before it was too late! Since it was almost winter, we even got to experience some east coast snow! Most importantly, we got to spend some wonderful quality time with our cousins, who we are so close to, and they were such amazing, gracious hosts! Thank you for sharing your home with us, taking such great care of us, and putting so much thought and effort into planning a wonderful, memorable week full of events, laughter, delicious home-cooked meals and fun! Thank you for introducing us to Boston life and culture as well! We are so very blessed to be so close with you! Particularly, Krishna Kaki, your home-cooked meals were phenomenal! We were so spoiled! Additionally, Vivek Kaka, on top of everything else you both worked so hard to plan, thank you for your efforts with the crib and shoveling all that snow! Y'all are amazing!
Krish and Arjun were so excited to a) travel to Boston, b) arrive in Boston, and c) visit their cousins Keshav and Vidya. Krish had been talking about it all month long and would tell everyone, "I'm going to Boston to visit my cousins Keshav and Vidya for Thanksgiving!" It was sweet to see him get so excited and it made us even more excited than we already were for the trip as well!

Krishna Kaki and Vivek Kaka definitely went above and beyond and had so many awesome activities planned for us when we got there. On our first day there, they introduced us to a popular east coast style of bowling called Duckpin bowling. It is similar to bowling except you use a much smaller (but still heavy) ball. The kids especially loved this aspect of it, and Krish asked several time after day one if we could go duckpin bowling again! It was definitely a hit with the kids; great idea Munshis! Special thanks to Keshav for teaching Krishbhai and Arjun a cool, new sport!

The next day, Krishna Kaki planned an elaborate surprise trip for us into the city that we soon found out was a Duck Tour of the city, lunch reservations at Al Dente in the famous North End ("Little Italy" of Boston) and delicious dessert cannolis at the most famous pastry and cannoli shop, Mike's Pastries!
We were so spoiled! The kids had a blast on the duck tour and were stoked by the "bus going into the water"! They had such a great time exploring and learning about the city together, especially during the boat tour. I think their favorite part was getting the duck whistle souvenirs at the end of the trip!

That evening the kids had the best time playing with each other in the play room. Arjun and Vidya got along really well at the train table, and Krish really enjoyed learning more about dinosaurs from Keshav!

Krishna Kaki also thought of the cutest, most creative souvenir craft for the boys to make together: Boston snow globes with their picture from the duck tour inside and their favorite dinosaur figurine! Krish and Keshav loved making their personalized snow globes and then playing with them after! Krishna Kaki definitely thought of everything!
