Krish's LAST day at Primrose School of Las Colinas!

Today was a very special day.  It marked the end of a big chapter in Krish's life!  Today was Krish's last day at his very first school, Primrose School of Las Colinas!

Primrose holds a special place in all of our hearts at home because it is the first place our little boy, Krish, started school and built his foundation for an education.  It is the first place he developed comfort, independence, confidence and social skills in an environment without Mama and Daddy.  He also made his very first best friend, Siddharth, in his class all by himself.  Seeing their friendship and connection grow over the months has been amazing.  We are so glad to know that, due to their friendship outside of class, we will be able to maintain the relationship past their experience at Primrose.

He began Primrose at age 2 years and 11 months back in January 2013 ( see Krish's Very FIRST Day of Pre-School! and We made it!).  For the past 17 months, he has learned so much in his classes.  In addition to the educational foundation he has built at home with Mama and Daddy, his Preschool 1 and 2 classes reinforced, phonics, writing letters and numbers, days of the week, months of the year, weather patterns, mathematics patterns, Spanish and English vocabulary, various weekly themes and subjects, and much more!

In his 17 months at Primrose, Krish attended Preschool 1 for the first six months with Ms. Lessard (primary teacher) and Ms. Woodson (teacher's assistant) and Preschool 2 for the next 11 months with Ms. Taylor (primary teacher), Ms. Cervantes (teacher's assistant), and Ms. Koshy (teacher's assistant).  Including his classmates, Principal Jenkins, Principal Gillis and administrators, all of these loving people became Krish's Primrose family, and it was very hard to say goodbye to them today.  As usual, Mamma got emotional to see the outpouring of love from Krish's Primrose family while Daddy and Krish remained calm and cool.  Nonetheless, in anticipation of his last week at school, Krish had commented several times that he was sad to leave Primrose and his friends and teachers.

Krish's first school experience has been an amazing journey, and although we are sad to leave Primrose, we are ready for the next chapter in his life: joining the Greenhill School family for the next 14 years!
