Well, it's officially springtime in Texas! That means blooming wildflowers galore all around town! The best are the many patches of bright, blue Texas bluebonnets around every street corner and on every field along the highways.
As the boys are getting older and more interactive, Neil and I really wanted to capture some memorable shots of them in this stage among our beautiful state flower. Fortunately, Krish had been showing a lot of interest in the bluebonnets since he sees endless fields of them on our drive to and from school everyday. He also fondly remembered our family photo shoot from last year, and that was all the inspiration we needed to take advantage of a photo opp. when we saw one!
So on the way home from a family shopping trip, we happened to have our camera and spotted the perfect field of bluebonnets along LBJ Freeway and Belt Line, an exit close to home. We weren't planning to make this stop or really prepared for a photo opp., but sometimes the spontaneity is just what you need for success! (I say this from experience of many failed photo sessions over the years with the boys.)
After fifteen minutes in a field adjacent to the service road, we have some lovely photos of our little boys and some beautiful memories!
