Sandy Lake Amusement Park with Nani!

This past weekend, Nani came to spend time with Krish and Arjun, and they loved it!  Krish's idea to go to Sandy Lake Park on Saturday really impressed me.  We have been looking for places to visit within our local vicinity so that Arjun doesn't tire out by frequent, big outings, and Sandy Lake is right next to our home!  It's not even a five minute drive away!  Every weekend morning when Krish wakes up, he asks, "Where are we going today?"  Recently, Daddy and I have run out of good ideas, so we started asking him, "Where do you want to go today, Krish?"  Sometimes that backfires and we get roped into a 10th Chuck E. Cheese or Dave & Busters outing, but he has started to get the idea to come up with fun, new places for us to visit.

This past Saturday, he asked, "Can we go to Sandy Lake?"  I was stunned that he remembered this place and it's name after only one visit a couple months back.  We haven't even talked about it since then.  Obviously it is an unforgettable place for a little kid, but Krish's memory really impresses me!  Kids have such great memories, and Krish often remembers more than Daddy and I do!  I really enjoy conversing with him every day and learning so much about him from our conversations.  He is such an intelligent child, and it is such an amazing thing to see how much he is soaking up and learning from his world around him.  Everyday, Daddy and I look forward to what new things we're going to learn from him that day!

4th of July Weekend!

Happy 4th of July!

This 4th of July weekend, Tricia Masi came to visit!  The boys had such a great time with her, as usual!  In addition to watching fireworks on the 4th for the first time, Krish had fun playing with water balloons, sprinklers, and going to Top Golf with Masi.  We all thoroughly enjoyed the Top Golf outing, and I can see a golf team forming in the future!  The boys were sad to see Masi leave but will definitely see her again soon during her next visit.  Hopefully she'll bring Atul Masa and Tanya Masi along with her!

Krish's First Time Bowling!

This past week, we went bowling, with our Texas TOTS friends, for the very first time!  It was an amazing experience for Krish.  He absolutely loved bowling!  The lanes at the bowling alley were set up specially for toddlers with bumpers and ramps they could use to roll their 6 lb. bowling balls.  Krish could lift the 6 lb. balls easily and did not tire from bowling endlessly for an hour!  He knocked down around 6-7 pins at a time and will hopefully hit spares and strikes next time with all the practice he got! He had so much fun and can't wait to take Daddy with him one day since Daddy loves bowling too!

Klyde Warren Park, Again!

Last Saturday we visited Klyde Warren Park, again!  We love that park, especially because it reminds us of San Francisco.  I think it's because of it's city location and all of the visitors it gets.  The food trucks also give it a San Francisco vibe even though we never experienced that life while we lived there.

The boys love the park as well!  Krish loves climbing on the play structures and splashing around in the fountains with all the other kids!  It's so much fun to watch him just being a kid!  This time, Arjun got to really enjoy the park as well!  We spread out a beach towel on the lawn near the fountains, and Arjun munched on some snacks while watching Krish Bhai splash around in the fountains.  He loved being outdoors and was dressed well for the Texas heat!  Since we were finally outdoors, the nice part for Daddy and I was that we got to practice our photography techniques!

After playing, we got some yummy, cool, blueberry-pina-cola snow cones from one of the street vendors before we left.  It was the perfect family outing for a summer morning.  We definitely look forward to the next time we visit the city park!

Father's Day Craft Play Date with our Texas TOTS!

For Father's Day this year, we had our Texas TOTS friends over to make a creative, personalized Father's Day project for the Daddies from our tots!  We made a fun handprint stamp that we mounted on an original water color designed painting from each of the tots.  Each handprint was also bordered with a quote for the Daddies!

The kids have become such artists, and all of them truly enjoyed watercoloring for the first time!  At this age, Krish also understands the meaning of what he was doing, and he was very excited to present his masterpiece gift to Daddy! I love doing crafts with Krish and look forward to doing them with Arjun too when he is older!  The tots look so cute when they are working on their projects; it really is my favorite time with them!  I'm not looking forward to the day the boys become too old to work on craft projects with Mama!

Father's Day 2013!

This Father's Day, we planned for the guys to go to their very first Texas Rangers game together!  Since they did not get to go that Sunday, they are planning to go this week, and I think Krish is going to love the whole experience!  Additionally, he will get some great bonding time with Daddy and Dada!

Sidharth Fuva and Niru Foi were also visiting for the weekend, and the boys had a wonderful time with them too!  They even got Krish a very cool Spider-Man mask and web spinning gadget that he absolutely loved!  It's very interesting to see how he has caught onto all the typical little boy fads throughout his toddlerhood.  First he was into balls, then Thomas the Train, then cars and Lightning McQueen, and now all the superheroes (primarily Spider-Man)!  I honestly don't think we even influenced him that much.  He did it all on his own!  He is a typical, 100% boy!

Thankful to Foi for picking out the neat Spider-Man toy!

Hey There, Spider-Man!

In the afternoon, we all enjoyed a family lunch together at El Fenix, a family favorite Mexican restaurant.  Everyone had a wonderful celebration together, and Krish didn't take off his Spider-Man mask the whole day!

Ba Makes Arjun Laugh!

Today, Ba and Dada came over, and Ba discovered how much Arjun loves his Curious George!  Here is a very cute video of him giggling away as Ba plays with him!
