Arboretum Again!

Krish on the "Great Pumpkin"!
When we went to the Arboretum for the first time this season, we enjoyed it so much that we decided to purchase a year-long membership pass.  Therefore, this past Tuesday when we didn't have anything planned, we decided to visit the Arboretum's Pumpkin Village again!

Being goofy!

My sweetheart!!
I actually hope to take Krish every week on either Mommy and Me Mondays or Tiny Tots Tuesdays while they are hosting them during the fall season.  I'm not sure if they continue into the holiday season and beyond as well.  These days are very special for the kids because the Arboretum has lots of fun activities available such as a petting zoo, face painting, arts and crafts, and kinder music!  This past Tuesday, Krish got to enjoy all the activities!

Krish learning about Cinderella's carriage!

Topiary horses pulling the carriage!

Krish enchanted by Cinderella's horse-drawn pumpkin carriage!

Krish loves that sheep at the petting zoo!  He's so soft too!

Coloring a jack-o-lantern at the arts and crafts table.

Krish has recently become intrigued by face painting!

This is his second time getting his face painted.  The first
was at Kaiden and Logan's 3rd Birthday Party last Saturday.

He loves it!  He sits perfectly still for the artists!

My cute little pumpkin!!
So cute! He loves his painted face! :)
Since Zena Foi has Tuesdays off, she was able to join us to give Mommy company and play with Krish at the same time!  This time, we also got to check out some of the Chihuly exhibits, sculptures by renowned artist Dale Chihuly, that are on display as well.  We definitely made the most of our trip and had a wonderful time on a beautiful fall day at the Arboretum!

Hanging out with Zena Foi!

All of a sudden fascinated by the stones.

Officially Potty Trained?!!

Our little man all grown up!
A process that started out slow back in June at our old house in Sugar Land is now finally drawing to a close!  Guess who's potty trained??  You got it, Krish is officially potty trained now!  And just in time before the new baby arrives!

He hasn't worn a diaper or dirtied a diaper now in days, almost weeks!  Mommy and Daddy couldn't be more proud of him!  He always tells us when he has to go, at home or in public.  It's so sweet how he gets all excited when we run to the bathroom and after he has done his job!  He also feels so proud of himself!  His biggest motivator and our biggest success in the process has been adding stickers to his star chart that we hang in his room.  He gets a fun, new sticker, such as a star, basketball, soccer ball, football, baseball, golf ball, or Mickey Mouse every time he pees or poops in the potty.  This revelation helped us out tremendously and may have solely contributed to our potty training success!  (This may be some useful advice to anyone else who may be facing potty training challenges in the near future) :)  We're so happy for our little man!

Wearing big boy Thomas the Train underpants now!
He's ready to fill Daddy's shoes!

In & Out Burger in Texas?!!

We'll take it!  What we once associated with California and the west coast only has now made its way down south!  The quality fast food chain, In and Out Burger, has erupted all over the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and we have taken full advantage it!  Although we played it out in San Francisco that we were sick of it within the first few months of living there, we developed a love for it all over again after a year-long hiatus in Houston.  We certainly are very happy to see it in our neighborhood in Texas!

Visiting Nana and Nani's House!

After Krish's blastball game, we took one last road trip, to Houston, this past weekend to visit Dada, Dadi, Nana, Nani and Tricia Masi one more time before the baby arrives.  We all had a blast!  Krish, in particular, had the most amazing time seeing everyone again and catching up with all the family members!  He missed everyone!  He was so excited just to see them and be back in Nana and Nani's house.  And of course, everyone at home was so thrilled to see him again too!  He got so much attention all weekend long, and he loved every second of it!

There were so many people in the house to play with and catch up with.  However, he definitely noticed that Tanya Masi was not there and that prompted him to say, "Oh!  Tanya Masi is missing!".  It was probably the sweetest moment of the weekend.  Among all the quality time we got to spend together, the best time we had was revisiting Krish's favorite Houston activity place: the swing set in Nani and Nana's backyard!

Hi Dada!

Nani's so much fun!

He loves playing with Nana!

Last Saturday's Game vs. Ballerinas

Last Saturday our Little Tornadoes played their second game in 50 degree weather against another Blastball team, the Ballerinas.  All the kids played great!  Krish was truly impressive as an outfielder!  He ran after all the balls and was a good team player by giving his teammates their turn as well.  He continues to make Mommy and Daddy so proud of him when watching him play blastball!  He is the cutest little ball player!
