Oman Trip and Dhairya Mama and Himani Mami's Wedding Reception: Part III: The Reception!

The night of the reception had arrived and we all had a fabulous time celebrating and dancing the night away with family and the newly married Dhairya Mama and Himani Mami!  The boys had a blast on the dance floor and the family really enjoyed taking lots of fun family photos together.  The ambiance at the Ritz-Carlton Al Bustan Palace was amazing.  The food with fresh pasta station was delicious.  The program and company were perfect.  The bride and groom looked gorgeous, and the DJ was stellar!  It truly was a magnificent event!

Oman Trip and Dhairya Mama and Himani Mami's Wedding Reception: Part II: Muscat!

Once in Muscat, we had a wonderful time with all the family!  Krish and Arjun loved playing with their Mamas, new Mami, Masis, aunts and uncles, Nana, Nani, Dada and Dadi!  We also got to see all of our Dubai family and Krish formed an immediate connection and friendship with Adha, Hiral Fui's five-year-old daughter.  The two of them had so much fun playing together and were inseparable the whole trip!

Uday Fua and Rita Fui live on the beach, so we a had a lot of fun playing in the sand, collecting beautiful seashells, and swimming in the ocean with all the hermit crabs!  The day after the reception we even went on a yacht ride with 45 family members!  Unfortunately Arjun was jet lagged and fast asleep during this time, but Krish most definitely had a blast on the open ocean with all the family!

Oman Trip and Dhairya Mama and Himani Mami's Wedding Reception: Part I: The Plane Ride!

In March, we were fortunate enough to take a trip all the way to Muscat, Oman (in the Middle East) for  Dhairya Mama and Himani Mami's wedding reception!  Although we were very excited, we were just as nervous about taking such a long trip with 2-year-old Arjun!  We learned that Krish was old enough to adjust to new timings and manage a 14-hour flight.  Arjun, however, was so excited to be on a plane that he barely slept for 4 hours throughout the entire overnight flight!  We definitely got some scoldings and dirty looks from neighboring passengers as Arjun wanted to look out the window the entire night and both boys were pretty active and excited.  Needless to say, we were relieved to finally arrive at our destination and are hoping Arjun will be old enough to manage a long plane ride before our next international trip!

However, regardless of our flight experience, the boys actually had a blast traveling on the plane: looking out the window, trying airline food, watching children's movies/shows, and doing their work and activity packages given to them by the airline; and we all had an absolutely amazing time in Muscat!
