Cancun September 2011 - Part II

Along with hanging out on the beach and at the pools, Krish enjoyed playing on the life-size chess board and discovering the touristy city of Cancun.  Mommy got lucky and got to do her favorite island activity - swimming with the dolphins!

Cancun September 2011 - Part I

Last summer we were very fortunate to be able to take a few vacations before Neil started his new job.  One vacation we took was to Cancun in September.  At 19 months, it was Krish's first trip out of the country!  Thankfully, the plane ride was only 3 hours long and very manageable.  Needless to say, Krish had a blast on the beach and at the resort!

Daddy's BIG 3-0 on November 30, 2011

Daddy just hit a big milestone in his life recently.  This past birthday, Neil said goodbye to his 20's and hello to the big 3-0 on November 30, 2011.  A golden birthday I believe it is called.  :)  I don't know about Neil, but Krish, for one, could not have been more excited to celebrate his Daddy's birthday.  On our 4-Year Wedding Anniversary in September, we cut a cake and discovered that Krish loves to sing the birthday song and blow out candles on a cake!  And so it goes, we couldn't wait till the next cake-cutting and birthday celebrating opportunity!  Of course Krish enjoyed eating the cake as well!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Great Play Fun!

Since the new year started in Sugar Land, Krish has been participating in a local gym class called Great Play.  We attend about twice a week, and Krish absolutely loves it!  His motor skills have developed so well from this class through obstacle courses and exercise routines.  He has also learned how to play a lot of sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, golf, and bowling.  He is definitely going to miss all his coaches, friends and Great Play mascot, Buddy, when we move to Dallas, but we will be sure to find a new gym class there that he enjoys just as much!

It's Time to Start Blogging Again!

It has been months since my last post.  Since moving back to Texas in August of 2011 and being so close to family, I didn't find as much time to blog.  However, with all the exciting things happening in our lives currently, we would like to start sharing our updates with family and friends again.

Some latest news:

  • Tanya Masi moved to L.A. to pursue an advertising job with OMD on Krish's 2nd Birthday, February 8, 2012.
  • Neil is accepting a new job in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and partnering with an old residency colleague whose practice focuses solely on spine care.
  • We will sadly leave family in Houston and also happily join family and friends in Dallas when we move to the Las Colinas/Irving area in August of 2012.  We cherished every moment we had with family in Houston for the past year.
  • And last and most importantly, we are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the newest member of our family on December 1, 2012!!!
I will go back as far as I can and post the best updates in our lives and Krish's growth.  We hope that you like them!

Halloween Town

This year, for Halloween, Krish was old enough for us to have some real fun! We took him to Halloween Town in Sugar Land Town Square, where Mommy and Daddy got married, and he was able to go trick-or-treating in the boutique shops, take pictures at the pumpkin patch, and play with different animals and characters. He had a blast! Daddy and Krishy were matching as Curious George and "The Man with the Yellow Hat".

Happy Halloween 2011!

On Halloween Day, we took Krish to a Halloween Carnival where he went trick-or-treating, bounced in a bounce house, pet every animal in the petting zoo, went on a pony ride, and ate all the popcorn he could eat!  Popcorn was his favorite treat this year and he called it "Kaw-korn".  It was so sweet!  Needless to say, I think Daddy, Mommy, and Krish had the best Halloween ever this year!

The Many Costumes of Krish

This year, Krish had the opportunity to dress up as several different characters. He was a cute little devil, thanks to Zena Foi. A surgeon, like Daddy, thanks to Tanya Masi. And a monkey, like Curious George, thanks to Daddy and Mommy. I think he liked them all! He was very cooperative and proudly wore his costumes all day!
